The Future

Our Board, Staff and Volunteers believe that by facilitating the building of resilience in adults and children, we act as a catalyst for positive change and the building of a resilient community and society eventually reducing rates of depression, suicide, dysfunction, crime, violence, and corruption.

As part of organisational development and our sustainability strategy the organisation changed its name and branding on the 1 March 2014 from LifeLine East London to Masithethe Counselling Services.

The name Masithethe when translated from isi-Xhosa means “let’s talk”.  Through individuals and community’s engaging, talking and listening we not only build resilience but also mobilize society for change.
